In Russia, the Sputnik V vaccine is still being tested. The test results are not widely advertised, but sometimes they get on the net. So, in the Altai Territory, out of 42 doctors who were vaccinated against coronavirus infection, three got infected COVID-19.
The creators of the vaccine stressed that Sputnik V was not the cause of the infection. They explained that the vaccine is two-component, that is, first, a person is given one injection, and three weeks later – the second. During these three weeks, immunity should be formed.
“Immunity in sick doctors who have been vaccinated probably did not have time to form by the time they met with the causative agent of COVID-19,” the Russian Ministry of Health believes.
